Vam originally trained at the Royal London Hospital, graduating as a dentist in 2008. Soon after completing his vocational year, he was appointed as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Over the next three years, Vam worked both in practice in London and as an oral surgery speciality dentist in Cambridge. Building on the surgical skills which fitted with his innate ability and interest.
This focus led to further study, for an Advanced Clinical Diploma and a Master’s degree in clinical dentistry, in the field of periodontology. Vam has also conducted related research, co-authoring publications in key UK journals.
Sharing knowledge has always been important to Vam, he has taught students at Queen Mary University, as an oral surgery clinical supervisor. His support for colleagues and his patients is equally open.
Vam’s caring, patient centred approach leads his treatment. Making straightforward, or complex periodontal procedures seem manageable and valuable.
His unique mix of experience in periodontics, implantology and oral surgery allow Vam to take an overall view of his patients needs. Always with the best solution and people’s future oral health in mind
Vam’s field of dentistry requires an exceptional awareness of the structures supporting our teeth and conditions which can be found in them. There is a need to deal with delicate tissues, alongside the core fabric of the jaw.
A breadth of knowledge, allied to a careful, pain free approach are essential for a good perodontist. We are pleased to have Vam providing treatment at our practice and his patients more so.
