The dental hygienists at our West London practice are highly trained, skilled professionals. Alongside offering hygiene treatment, they can share useful dental, or lifestyle advice.
They see many of our patients and are the front line of dental care, maintaining a high level of oral health. At a practice where preventative dentistry matters a great deal, our hygienists are key staff members.
The cleaning, scaling and polishing services they provide improve appearance and prevent gum disease, or tooth decay. Hygienists also play a further vital role, by identifying symptoms at an early stage.
This ensures you receive prompt support from a suitable dentist, helping to reduce treatment, or discomfort and to bring a better outcome. Your hygienist may then offer continued support, to speed recovery, or prevent issues recurring.
Support For All
Hygienists work with patients of all ages. For children, they might offer treatment such as fissure sealants, for older patients, they can help to explain the changes our teeth and gums go through in later years.
Advice on diet and nutrition is available to every patient, an area closely linked to tooth decay. Ways that patients can help to improve their own oral health will be discussed, in as much detail as you wish.
Our practice has acquired the Airflow Prophylaxis Master, the latest airflow treatment. The prevention of, or recovery from periodontal disease is an area where a hygienist’s skills are important.
Their support is based on experience, along with specialist hygienist and therapist training. They are medical staff in their own right, an essential part of effective dentistry and good oral health for our patients.
Individual Treatment
The Elgin Dental Plan includes sessions with our hygienists, as we believe every patient should attend. Hygiene treatment is not simply for perfect teeth, this is much more about meeting your personal needs.
Hygienists spend time with our patients and are exceptionally supportive. They are happy to work with people who are particularly anxious, have medical issues, or require high levels of care.
You are welcome to contact us for further information, or to arrange a hygienist visit, we promise you will be made welcome.
